It is time for our 7th annual Neighborhood Helpers November give. Last year we were able to feed close to 480 people. We'd love to have your help to feed more neighbors in need this year.
The families we serve are sent to us by helpers at our local schools, our pantry shoppers, and some are brought to us via our donors. If you are or know of a family in need please let us know.
We believe that allowing the families to choose what they receive helps to provide dignity to each table. Each family is provided the opportunity to fill out a multiple choice menu allowing them to choose from the selection we provide, let us know about any allergies/food aversions, and they can also make special requests for items their family prefers.
The average cost to feed a family is between $150-200 depending on family size and their food selections. This price includes pans and other supplies used to fulfill meals. Each year the price of food items seems to go up so cost may vary from year to year. We provide the families with GENEROUS portions in hopes of feeding them for many days.
We begin fundraising and accepting volunteer sign ups for November Give mid October. If you'd like to commit to help with our upcoming gives please fill click the button and fill out our commitment form.

FAQ
WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE TO FEED A FAMILY?
We provide each family with a large portion of food so that they can eat for many days. The rising cost of food, pans, ingredients is accounted for in our monetary goal. When extra funds are available we split it up and share gift cards with the families so that they can afford some staples/additional food while out of school.
HOW TO HELP?
There are lots of ways to help! Here are a few:

CAN WE PROVIDE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT LISTED?
Absolutely! In years passed some families have donated their favorite games, handwritten card & letters, craft kits, movie gift cards, and so much more. If your family has a fun tradition that you'd like to share with our families please sign up.
WHEN WILL WE BE NOTIFIED IF WE GET SPONSORED?
As soon as your family has been added to the list (usually within two weeks of filling out application) we will let you know.
HOW DO WE PICK THE RECIPIENTS?
First we assign meals to families sent to us by local school helpers. Next, we provide meals for our regular pantry shoppers and referrals from our donors/sponsors. Finally, if we have more sponsors/donated funds, we fulfill requests submitted from neighborhood groups & our website.
