Back to School Give

Want to Help/Learn More?...
It is time for our 6th annual Neighborhood Helpers Back 2 School give. Last year we were able to sponsor close to 80 students. We'd love to have your help to sponsor more students this year.
We strive to ensure that each student receives (all new) a backpack, water bottle, their entire school supply list (for their school/grade), at least one outfit (most of them received 3+ last year with some extra shirts), a pack of socks, a pack of under garments/undershirts & a bra, at least one pair of shoes, a small hygiene bag, and a few other "fun" items.
Please keep in mind that sponsoring a student is a large monetary commitment. Most of our families don’t have the things they need so we do our best to go above and beyond and give students extra outfits, undergarments and socks. We also try to give older students brands their peers are wearing even if it’s just one piece/thing. Last year the average cost was $300-600 per student (higher end for middle and high school students). I suspect this year will be a little higher given inflation. Most families don’t have regular access to washing machine and/or detergent thus they need undershirts, multiple pairs of socks/underwear, and a few outfits vs just one.
This year I will spread the give out over two months (the same as we did last year) and disperse the items as each family is fulfilled so that there isn't a huge amount of stuff here and going out at once.
School starts August 18, 2026. All items are due by July 31. Please look over the list of available students below. If you see one you'd like to sponsor let us know via contact form, text or email.
This is the link for students that still need sponsors. Once a student is sponsored we will remove them from this list

FAQ
WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE TO SPONSOR A STUDENT?
These students do not have things left from last year, hand me downs, etc. They also likely will not have the money to replenish things that break or run out. Many of our own children don't need as much as the students on our list for all the reasons mentioned above.
HOW TO HELP?
There are lots of ways to help! Here are a few:
-
sponsor a student(s)
-
organize a clothing/supply drive
-
ask friends/family/co-workers/club groups to collectively sponsor students
-
monetary donations
-
shop from wish list
-
ask businesses to donate
DO WE HAVE AN AMAZON LIST FOR THIS GIVE?
Yes, we will have one as soon as we have a list of students that have not been sponsored. We will post that link here and on FB.
WHEN WILL WE BE NOTIFIED IF WE GET SPONSORED?
As soon as your student has been sponsored we will let you know. Sponsors are assigned throughout all of June & July.
WHERE IS THE MASTER LIST OF NEEDS?
HOW DO WE PICK THE RECIPIENTS?
First we assign sponsors to families sent to us by local school helpers. Next, we sponsor the students of our regular pantry shoppers and referrals from our donors/sponsors. Finally, if we have more sponsors/donated funds, we fulfill requests submitted from neighborhood groups & our website.

Need Help with Back to School?
We are happy you have found us. Please understand that filling out this form does NOT guarantee that we will be able to help you. As mentioned above we have an order in which we sponsor students. You will not hear from us if we are unable to help.

When filling out the form please be as detailed as possible. We want to provide your student with items they will actually like and use but we can only do that if you tell us about your student. \]'

You must fill out a form for each student needing a bundle. Please only fill out one form per student.
